Pastor Curtis Guyton
Elder Curtis Guyton is a native of Columbus, Mississippi and served 20 years in the US Army.

In 1996, Elder Guyton was called to the ministry and did his trial sermon at Bibleway Church of God in Christ, Killeen, TX under the leadership of Supt. Robert Ellis Sr.  In 2002, he was ordained an Elder by the late Bishop A. T. Moore of Kentucky.

Elder Guyton received a Human Resource Management Bachelor of Science Degree at Sullivan University.  He has served in numerous positions at the local, District, Jurisdictional and National level within the Church of God in Christ. He has served as an usher, hospitality, youth president, youth worker, Deacon, Minister, Board of Trustees member and Administrator Assistant to the late Pastor Dwight L. Haygood, Sr. at Hope Temple Church of God in Christ.

He currently serves on the National level as an Adjutant and a Security Agent; has served as Jurisdictional Episcopal Adjutant and Treasurer; Administrative Assistant at Moore Temple Church of God in Christ; and currently Jurisdictional Administrative Assistant of Operations under the leadership of Bishop John W. Fleming.

Elder Guyton was installed as Pastor of Moore Temple on August 23, 2015 by the General Secretary of the Church of God in Christ, Inc., Bishop Joel Lyles, Jr, who served as the Interim Prelate of the Kentucky First Jurisdiction.

He is married to the former Carolyn Johnson of Columbus, Mississippi. To this union one son, Curtis Guyton II, and a granddaughter, Dallas Guyton.
First Lady Carolyn Guyton
Lady Carolyn Guyton was born March 30, 1969 to the late Mr. Walter Lee Johnson, Sr. and Mary Jane Johnson of Columbus Mississippi. She graduated from Caldwell High School in 1987, where she met her high school sweetheart and husband, Pastor Curtis Guyton Sr. Lady Carolyn and Pastor Curtis Guyton Sr, have been happily married for 31 years. In their union, they were blessed with one son Curtis Guyton II, and she is a proud grandmother of Dallas Guyton.

Lady Carolyn is an advocate of education. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting at Sullivan University in 2012 and later earned a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry at Liberty University. She now is employed in accounting in the public sector.

Lady Carolyn is blessed with the gift of help. She serves faithfully in numerous capacities at the local, district and jurisdictional levels for the Church of God in Christ. She has served in various positions in the church: Usher Board President, Hospitality, Sunday school teacher, and Young Women Christian Counsel President and Adjutancy.

Lady Carolyn encourages the women and men to serve the Lord with a spirit of excellence. She is excited to see where the Lord will lead Moore Temple Church of God in Christ. One of her favorite passages is Psalms 27:1: “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid.”
